This is a quality part but yes it does look rough. When you get it, there's weld spatter everywhere except for the exhaust pipe flanges, so it's not a big deal. OEM is three times more expensive, so it's up to you. I swapped out the right and left sides, which is good because while it sounded like only the right side was torn, it was actually both. Just wanted to add a few notes on the excellent Billyray replacement instructions. My truck is 4WD, I would do whatever Billyray's manual says but remove the 4WD differential before removing the engine mounts and raising the engine. This takes an extra ten minutes, requires a moving floor jack and an assistant, but will save you a few hours of hassle removing the engine mounting bolts and header bolts. Don't ask me how I know this :(. Another step I would add is to remove the serpentine belt and loosen the power steering pump and then slide it forward so it doesn't get in the way of the front header bolts Drivers side. That will save you another 30 minutes of trouble. One more thing, be extremely careful when lifting the engine, keep an eye on the air intake and also the fan in the fan cowl, my fan hit the fan cowl long before the air intake hit the firewall, decided I am unscrewing the fan from the fan spindle, remember to spin the fan again before lowering the engine all the way to make sure the fan, which is loosely mounted in the fairing, doesn't get stuck and the radiator or the Damage fairing. It's not an easy repair, you can judge for yourself. within your capacity or comfort zone. It took 12 hours and that's me lt me for an advanced amateur mechanic. Now I'm not so sure I would rate myself that high.
