It said it was solid wood but it's not. I bought it for my child. Assebelli could have been easier. At least all my holes are there and they line up unlike some other reviews but I bought this because it said it was solid wood while other cheaper stools say MDF. Just a few non-structural items, we're solid wood and they were cheap solid wood, but the part you're actually standing on is some sort of MDF. I won't be going back, but I could buy a stool of the same quality for less if they didn't try to gloss over the truth of what it's made of.
