I'd give it 5 stars for use, but 1 star for directions and the app. I was worried about buying my 7 year old a hoverboard but finally settled on this one. It works great in our grassy, uneven yard, which was a nice surprise, since it's not an all-terrain hoverboard. The grass helped keep him from going too fast while he learned. One thing that made me mad though is that there are 2 speed settings, supposedly training and normal. NOWHERE does it say whether the training mode is the default. The app that it tells you to download is of little use, because the options there are standard and advanced, and there is no training mode. If you manually lower the speed limit in the app, it goes right back up.
