I didn't cook any pasta. At first I thought of a pasta maker, but wasn't thrilled with having to keep a disposable machine for occasional use. I saw them and then looked at the KitchenAid attachments. I had to order separate nozzles, they were also more expensive. I returned to this product and bought it. They are exceptionally well made and a quality product. I've read a lot of different recipes, from no egg recipes to recipes with lots of eggs. After reviewing the different approaches, I observed the ratio of liquid (water, oil, egg) to dry ingredient. I don't want it to be too wet or too dry. Like PlayDo. I used a flat roller to gradually adjust the thickness and then passed it through the cutting tool. They worked great and were very easy to use and switch to KitchenAid. Clean up wasn't difficult either. My pasta turned out really well. It's amazing how much pasta is made from 2 hundredweights of flour. I also mixed pasta with KitchenAid. I'm glad I made this purchase.
