Strong cooling, difficult to clean

Simple design and performance. Think of it as a really big case fan with a water reservoir and a pump pushing water into the cooling grille. It's quite big and not very pretty. But it cools a large room better than prettier models. In comparison, my friend has one that looks like a spaceship tower and barely works. My house has two bedrooms and a hallway upstairs with good cross ventilation through windows and patio doors and if everything is installed properly I can keep it cool even in the 35 degree heat upstairs here in Colorado. from time to time in different directions to cool all areas, so do not compare with forced air cooling. The large water tank is great (although the spout can be sticky when you open it, use a flathead screwdriver first and then make a tab out of duct tape). I can run the unit here in dry CO for about 16 hours at a high evaporation rate (there's a low setting plus a low fan and a high fan). I use the hose nozzle on my shower to fill it up. The only real issue I've found is if you ever need to clean your water tank. it's a pain My photos show the back of the unit after removing the cooling grille (fixed with screws) and the inside of the tank. My fingers point to areas that are particularly difficult to wipe. In the second year my aquarium had a lot of dust and the water was disgusting which made the air smelly, that's my discovery. The good news, however, is that a thorough cleaning can be done. I used a scrub brush and vinegar to get the limescale off, I bet Alka Seltzer works too. Be careful not to get water on the electrical parts (this is easy to do as they are high up in the box). In general, the best wearable device, in my opinion, has not yet been invented.
