I bought this hard drive with hope in my eyes. When I received this CD I immediately opened the box like a child celebrating their first Christmas with their new foster family. It looked like a fake barbie - I didn't know not to worry until I started playing with her. I connected the floppy drive to my super bright computer and opened the BIOS. It was as empty as my mailbox on Valentine's Day. There was confusion because in the 20 years that I've been building computers this has never happened. However, with hope still in my heart, I booted up my computer in a flash and opened Disk Management. And again an empty void hit me and I stared at the screen. Tears welled up in my green eyes as I felt life leaving me. I quickly googled and found that Seagate has possible software to detect and install things for a baby drive. Even after all that, I had to accept that this idea of the drive was stillborn and there was nothing I could do to bring it to life. Which company has the firmware that needs to be downloaded from the site to look at the disk. ? What is this, Russia in the 1840s? Never again will I make such an unsuccessful purchase and take my money back to Western Digital. At least they don't beautify me by bending over and taking all my worth.
