I'm only giving 2 stars because there's doubt that the supplied USB mini-B cable was defective (also I couldn't test this theory as I didn't have any of my own) and the value is good for storage at this price point. If it works. In my case, from 2 different PCs - one running Windows7 and the other running Win10 - any attempt to initialize and format from any USB port (tried all) resulted in an I/O device error (Win7) or a fatal hardware failure. (Win10). The automatically installed driver is checked in Device Manager, but that's it. Nothing I could do from the CMD command line wasn't working either, so I had to undo it. Beware.
