The hard drive worked as it should and all I had to do was plug it in. I didn't rate technical support because I don't need that service. I recommend this drive to anyone who needs storage space. I used mine on my AirTV so I could record over-the-air channels.

The hard drive has a slim, compact design and offers inexpensive storage space. After about a month, however, it started to turn itself off spontaneously. We used it as an external hard drive on an XBOX system and installed games on it and intermittently the apps and games on it disappeared from the screen. I use this hard drive for Time Machine on iMac. I had to reformat it first (on another Mac) and when I plugged it in it was on the desktop. He immediately reversed, very quietly, without incident. I really hope it lasts as long as I started it. Seems well done. I registered it in no time and the next day I got an email saying I had missed some information so I just emailed them what they needed and now I have a 2 year -Warranty.

seemed to work fine for about a month before I started getting the "Check Backup" warnings on Windows 10. I checked if I can return or replace it, but that option expired after 30 days. makes a great doorstop!

I have ordered several of these drives and in my experience each has worked great. Reliable processing quality and fast transmission times. The included USB cable is a little short compared to other external drives I've used, but for the price they're excellent.

I use this drive as a DVR for my Tablo Quad. Originally bought for AirTV Dual via Youtube reviews. AirTV is now associated with Sling TV and wasn't a good device for a number of reasons. It comes formatted but I let Tablo format it anyway and it only took a few seconds. It's quiet and runs nice and cool. Tech support got 3 stars because I didn't need to use them. I'm only giving 2 stars because there's doubt that the supplied USB mini-B cable was defective (also I couldn't test this theory as I didn't have any of my own) and the value is good for storage at this price point.
