My daughter was so excited to grow some plants and after reading reviews and seeing photos of other kids with their terrariums, I was too. It started out easy enough assembling it. She sprayed it with water and we found a sunny spot. Within 2 days, the chia started to grow. Exciting! Then a few days after that, some wheatgrass started to grow. Also exciting! Then on day 10, the chia started to whither and by day 12 the chia was dead. The wheatgrass held on but now that too is starting to shrivel. Needless to say, we are very disappointed. While this seemed like a good idea and seemed to work for others, based on our own experience, we wouldn't recommend this product.Update: we contacted the company about our experience and they kindly sent us replacement soil, sand, rocks and seeds so that we could try again. We will update once we get a chance to reset the terrarium. We were pleased with the customer service. Fingers crossed the plants grow and thrive this time around!
