Fragile, short-lived, not intended for normal wear and tear

This item is guaranteed for 5 years. I've had it for less than 3 years and both zippers have darkened with normal wear. It sucks because I used it for work and now I have to redeem another bag. I didn't even put my laptop in it, just a few folders for work because I wanted to separate my personal stuff from my work bag. So frustrated that I now have to spend money on the same problem again.
