Review on Smart watch Amazfit T-Rex 2, charcoal black by Petar Tsvetkov ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good product for me, no problems at all.

The watch is extremely worthy. Before that, I used Mi Band and compared to them - the gap is almost colossal. It is very convenient not to be distracted from business and simply receive small "vibrations" as notifications about "messages / letters", as well as about various timers or indicators. For some reason, I noticed comments that there is no "dynamics" here. Spoiler - it is. It’s just that it’s not used anywhere except work-out, which I personally consider an advantage (it would be better if it wasn’t there at all). Waking up from vibrations on your hand is much more pleasant than from the high notes of an alarm clock melody. From myself, I note that personally I am most sad for the lack of normal support from "external" developers - there was a very obsessive idea to test the local accelerometer and try to create small "spells" based on hand movement patterns. "Left-right-down-turn" - Display a white background, turn the brightness to the maximum (Ready flashlight and everything outside of Hogwarts). Still, there would be a microphone for pathos shouting "LUMOS! " . .

Pros
  • I don’t think that anyone is directly interested in stories “about the beginning of time”, therefore a short review exists: + Nimble - never slow down and do everything on time. + Wide functionality - there are many built-in "buns" and the ability to download applications from your own market. + Pretty good measures the main indicators - oxygen in the blood, pulse, steps. + Large and clear screen - even in bright sunlight everything is perfectly visible. + Large selection of watch faces - you can once find the most attractive to you, install and forget about this feature forever. The dial is stored in memory and no more dances with a tambourine need to be done. + Sleep monitoring and alarm clock - thanks to this watch, I finally began to understand the real state of affairs with lack of sleep. Shows the different phases of sleep, gives them an assessment (subjective) and measures the duration of sleep in general. Before buying this watch, I did not suspect that I sleep not for 8 hours, but for 6-7. Thanks to monitoring, I was finally able to improve my sleep. + Mode "In the theater" - allows you to turn off all notifications and screen ignition when you turn your hand. The most for "sleep". (Amazefit hints that the theater is something boring? ) + Work for a week with a bunch of manually enabled functions. I set up constant monitoring of indicators, turned on Always-On-Display, and even with this option, they last for a week without any hassle. I charge an hour from the power-bank and they are 100 percent again. Extremely convenient. + Information and quick answers - shows time, date, weather, sunrise and sunset times. At first I thought that nothing but time was needed - I was wrong. + Durable - I chose with the expectation that I am a crooked person. As long as they live. Not a scratch (although I spent more than once on a rough wall), not chipped (hitting the screen more than once against something), not even a dent on the case (there were also cases). While all this inspires hope for a long operation.
Cons
  • There are not many shortcomings and they are not so significant, but for the sake of objectivity I will list: - No friendliness to third-party software developers. The documentation is written somehow, half of the development services are no longer supported, real support is given only to "authorized" developers, who become a pain in the ass. I wanted to write my own small program based on the "accelerometer", but after a couple of days of torment, it turned out to be easier to score on the idea than to develop it further. Moreover, without a "developer status" I cannot distribute the application through the market. For personal use only. - The strap - it’s like anyone, but rubber and leather bracelets constantly rub my hand, which is why I change the hand on which I wear the watch every two days. The disadvantage is subjective. - Parameter "height above sea level". Apparently, he calculates this indicator in some programmatic way, since he can count the 4th floor on different days as 12th, and in general the basement. The spread is terrible and there is not much sense from this information. Here it is not clear whether the jamb of "measuring devices" is still or just a software "defect". - Work-out - there are different training modes, it measures more or less well, but here the control becomes a little . . Strange. Each press of the buttons is a pause (if there was a training phase before pressing) and the start of a new circle (if there was a pause). It will take some time to get used to it. The problem is more aesthetic.
