The cable has a cool concept. While the purpose of 90 degrees is to help with wear and tear, it helps me with something else as well. I play a lot of games on my phone so it needs to be connected to the network at all times. With a regular cable, I have to hold the cable between my index and middle fingers. After holding this position for a long time, my left hand began to cramp. With this cable I can just hold the phone normally as if it were not connected to the network. I've attached a picture to show how I'm holding my phone. The quality of the cable is definitely higher than the standard Apple charger. I have a bit of a problem with this as the USB side also has a 90 degree angle which is handy for some chargers. As you can see in picture 3, I can only use one (and only for the right USB port) of this cable for an outlet.
