These tongs are very heavy compared to my All Clad stainless steel tongs. But I need it when using my copper pans or on non-stick surfaces. I don't use it very often - it's heavy and puts a strain on my wrist. In addition, it does not lock completely, there is always a centimeter gap between the pliers. That doesn't bother me as much as the fact that it's difficult to clean. The silicone parts are riveted where all the food gets stuck. I need to clean this part with a toothbrush. Those things aside, these are attractive pliers and they work as they should. If you have fairly large hands, you can use this thing to lift a small roast.
