Need a pair for a welding course and I was using heavy leather gloves normally used for stick welding and wanted something lighter. They perform very well and have decent agility. I am not sure how long they will last but I am sure they will help me get through the course. (I don't actually weld rods but to improve my MIG skills and learn TIG welding). Fit well and protect well from splashes. They'll let heat through when you're close to the action, but almost any glove will let heat through unless it's specifically designed for warmth. I think durability comes down to how much they use to process materials, not actual welding time. I expect the fingertips to wear out first, but how quickly is not clear. If they wear out too quickly I will update.
