Hamilton Beach Professional Blender

"Professional? " How about a professional kitchen? I doubt. First, it's very small. The description says it's a five-litre stand mixer, but that means it goes to the rim of the bowl and no one adds ingredients that go all the way to the top. Functionally it is three to three and a half liters. I have another stand mixer that bills itself as a five quart blender that still has a few inches to the top when filled with five quarts of liquid. I've included a photo showing four liters of water, which is still more than enough to fill a mixing bowl. I'm guessing it's a metal over plastic because the blender is so light. Although it looks nice. But the good thing is that there are suction cups to keep it in place so it doesn't dance around on the countertop. About suction cups? This means if, like me, you slide your stand mixer into a corner or under a cupboard to keep it out of the way when not in use, the suction cups will ensure you don't. But on the other hand it's light, so it's not the same as lifting a large mixer of a more classic brand. Speaking of the classic branded stand mixer, it has a handy hub that you can use with KitchenAid attachments. It's worth a few stars. However, the chute for adding ingredients is quite small. I've had better luck loading ALL the ingredients by stopping the machine, tilting my head, adding the ingredients, and then starting the machine again. The welder's son looked at how the handle was attached to the bowl. The attached photo shows the spot welds inside the bowl. He believed that the handle would not stay attached under heavy use. The bowl has a rim at the bottom to catch water in the dishwasher but has a hole to drain the water when the bowl is put back. just right for the water to drain. I appreciate it. I made a bunch of chocolate chip cookies and they turned out great and there were no ingredients left which can happen with some designs. But while all stand mixers make noise, this one makes an extra annoying whine. Overall I recommend investing a few bucks more and getting a really good working stand mixer, of which there are many. I'm afraid that while the Hamilton Beach Professional can make cookie dough, I wouldn't recommend this mixer except for light or occasional use in a tiny kitchen.
