My OEM remote for my 2002 Chevy Silverado LS has the code KOBLEAR1XT which this remote should match. Indeed it was! It worked without any problems, it was easy to program and I had no problems with it. I followed these programming instructions which did NOT come with the remote control: Get all the remote control transmitters for this car. This process will erase all previously programmed remote controls. You must program any existing and new remote controls you wish to use with the vehicle at this time. CLOSE all doors. INSERT the key into the ignition switch. PRESS and HOLD the power UNLOCK button on the driver's side door panel. DO NOT release until prompted in step 5. Quickly turn the ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF. (ON is the position where the car hardly starts, OFF is the position where you can remove the key) RELEASE the Power UNLOCK button on the driver's side door panel. The car should lock and unlock automatically. (A) If the locks lock, go to step 6. (B) If the door locks begin to lock and unlock before you release the unlock button, the vehicle has not entered programming mode and you will need to start over. REMOVE the key, OPEN the door and return to step 1. (C) If the vehicle continues to lock and unlock until the unlock button is released, there is a problem with the vehicle's system and the remote controls will need to be programmed by a certified technician. If you will not engage the door locks, turn the key too quickly or too slowly, there is a problem with the vehicle systems, or the vehicle is not equipped with a factory keyless entry system. HOLD LOCK and UNLOCK buttons. on the remote control until the door locks work again. This can take up to 30 seconds. Now REPEAT step 6 to program all additional remotes, including the working ones. After completing step 6 for all remote controls, turn on the ignition to exit programming mode. Turn off the ignition and remove the key Test all remote controls. Programming complete.
