I've used many other hole saws over the years: mainly a DeWalt set like this one, but also a Harbor Freight set (I know: why? Oh, and cheap, apparently ). This Lenox Speed Slot Hole Saw Set is amazingly better than anything I have used before. It offers quick and easy replacements, sharp teeth that look like they'll actually last, and it's all packed in a great, sturdy case (although it's a little larger than it needs to be). The claimed tooth life of the Lenox set is double that of older models. versions and seems plausible. One of the best features, as the name suggests, is the "Speed Slot" for easily removing cut wood plugs from the saw - it's simple but works really well. The saws are also deep enough to be useful, unlike some of the cheaper competitors. I've cut through wood, hardboard, and metal skid plates. This hole saw set is a winner and a joy to use. Worth every penny at the current price (although perhaps not the inflated list price). I'm throwing the Harbor Freight in the trash!
