I've recently become interested in planting succulents in various pots and this drill bit set (core saws) has helped me a lot drilling drainage holes in porcelain, pots out ceramics, glass and clay. It's been about a month since I started using the Beats and they're still working. I have drilled at least 200 holes in different materials and more are coming. Here are some tips on how to get the most out of this product.1. Wear safety goggles and gloves.2. Lubricate when drilling. The holes will be cleaner and you don't have to worry about dust.3. Start at a 45 degree angle and let the saw cut into the surface. Once the saw begins to cut, slowly adjust the angle so that the bit is perpendicular to the surface to be cut. Use very little force. Let the saw cut.5. Take your time, start slowly and be patient. You are working with material that can break and cause injury.6. If you have a variable speed drill, start at low speeds. Only increase the speed if you are familiar with the process. I have purchased similar saws from Harbor Freight, QEP, Milwaukee and Bosch and this set beats them all for value. If used correctly, they will last longer. Remember these are beats. Like other bits, they wear out over time. I bought this product when there were no reviews. I hope this review helps other Revain buyers. I will buy it again when my set is completely used up.
