Where do I start, I'm not impressed with such cheap products. But I have very little (if anything) negative to say about it. It's basically a standard 1080P 2MP webcam chip (no drivers needed, works like a regular webcam with macOS and Windows 10) with lenses capable of extreme macro and macro zoom and lighting . I've used it on IOS, Windows and MacOS. IOS requires an app, Windows and macOS can use their built-in camera apps to see it easily enough. The company provides a link to a Windows camera app that you can download that gives you a better experience, but isn't required. Now of course you can't use this as a regular webcam as the focal length only adjusts for very close objects, but you can use ANY app that can use your webcam to view this microscope! It's really awesome. The LED lighting is very good, you can manually adjust the picture so that it is very clear. There are only four things I have a slight problem with: 1. When connected to a computer via USB, the manual states that the camera only records 720p. I haven't been able to prove it yet. But it's kinda weird if it's true.2. When connected to a computer via USB it must be on (great) but I can't figure out how to turn it off! I have to unplug the USB cable from the camera to make it turn off (otherwise the LEDs and camera stay on all the time once you turn it on). I've tried holding down the power button and other key combinations (no results). It would be nice to just leave it on my solder pad for easier use, but these days I have to plug and unplug it if I want. If the company could answer how to turn it off after turning it on when plugged into a USB port on a computer that would be great.3. The other buttons on the microscope don't work with webcam apps (not even the shutter controls respond), the Windows app they give you responds to the controls (like the IOS app) but does nothing else. Easy, but somehow unexpected. I expected the shutter controls to at least work like a standard camera control. The base and storage stand are not up to date. In fact, this is due to the flimsy plastic and the lack of weighting devices. While they don't fall off without a light touch, I expected an old piece of iron at the base or something to ensure it stays on the stand. never mind On the other hand, I'm impressed with the photos and it's been great to use photos of poorly labeled ICs on electronics to get datasheets and document things. Much easier than a handheld microscope or magnifying lamp! I'm glad I got it and the cons for me don't outweigh the pros. I still recommend it.
