Works exactly as described. I noticed a few reviews from people who either didn't read the whole description or didn't understand what they read. This cable only works in one direction. If you want to connect the output to Displayport and the input to HDMI, this should work for you without any problems. Just to clarify, I bought a new computer that for some reason doesn't have an HDMI output, only has a display port, but I prefer to connect my monitor through the HDMI port. This allowed me to connect the display port on the back of my computer and the other end to the HDMI port on the back of the monitor. It wouldn't work if I tried to use it in reverse, but some people seem confused. I hope this helps save someone some frustration.
