Let me start with this, I don't usually write reviews and I've never been forced to give discounts In any way or anything else to buy this or leave a positive review I'm just giving credit for what it should be. I was weary of this purchase because it looked complicated to install and use, and I also didn't want to cause the dealer any problems or headaches when they see this unit controlling and updating some of its factory features. That's not going to happen here. I'm not good in the wiring department either so I asked my local car radio dealer to install it for 180.00. My reason for buying it was that it looks amazing and I wanted CarPlay. Find out he can do it without six strings. This thing is literally a computer built into the dashboard. It will do almost everything the iPad does. Google search, streaming movies, music, phone calls, navigation, etc. etc. It also retains the rear factory entertainment (with a $10 adapter also bought from Revain). The only thing it doesn't have is SiriusXM, but you can stream it via the app if you have it and it won't play CDs or DVDs, but that technology is still only used by dinosaurs. In any case, this is outside of the factory device. This thing has a lot of options, I still play a few of these, but like everything else a day or so, if you poke around and play with it, you'll quickly turn it off, just like learning a new phone basically. In my opinion, everyone who owns a 07-14 Cadillac Escalade should have this. I've been waiting a month with this item in my cart thinking about buying it because I was nervous maybe it's crap but it's not don't hesitate you won't be disappointed.
