Review on Powerbuilt 940962 Digital Torque Adapter by Devin Maselli

You should have this

First, that price is ridiculously low. Second, this tool is extremely accurate, having re-tested it with multiple calibrated torque wrenches and torque standards. Here's how I use it. I've never used it alone as a torque wrench. It's too bulky to be of much use. I use it to calibrate cheap $9.99 Harbor Freight torque wrenches with a coupon for specific torque values. Whether you're working on a specific type of GM vehicle, Ford, Toyota or whatever, you're constantly hitting standard torque numbers. I have six HF torque wrenches that I preset and then marked to these totals using this calibrator. These HF keys are not accurate, but very reproducible. The handle might say 26 ft lbs, but it's actually 30, but once you use this calibrator to set it to 26, in my experience it stays at 26 foot-lbs for a very long time, no matter what the calibration wheel on the instrument itself says over time . long time. Also, this tool has a much lower range than the manufacturer claims. I've only set wrenches to 50 inch-lbs with this thing, and I know they're accurate when checked with my Precision Instruments inch torque wrenches. In short, it works.
