*Update below*Looks like I have a broken cable. I was trying to connect from 3 different computers to 3 separate Cisco switches. Neither of them allowed the connection. I verified the switches were working properly by plugging in a different console cable. I then uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers. Tried with Putty, Tera Term and Hyper Terminal none of them worked without success. Judging by the reviews I might be in the minority. To be honest the cable was easy to install. I plugged it in and Windows automatically loaded the drivers. It immediately recognized it as a USB serial port and assigned it a COM port. Looks very streamlined. After that, however, the problems described above arose. Update - The customer service department was top notch. Contact me for a review and would like to send a replacement cable. Since then I've been very busy and haven't had time to test the cable or update my review. All the while their customer service department sent me polite messages to confirm I had received the cable and that it was working. They kept messaging me to check the status and I appreciate their dedication. I recently went on a business trip and received a notification that I had received ANOTHER replacement cable in the mail. They were so keen to please me that despite my lack of communication they simply sent a second telegram to make sure I received it. I'm happy to report that it works perfectly and I'm VERY happy with the cable as well as their dedication to helping their customers.
