I don't know if 12 pounds is enough but I use it for the fridge. They are very durable, conveniently packed and light. The hook comes separately and the magnets are all neatly glued together. Pretty comfortable and I could feel how well the hook rotates and connects to the base by doing it myself. Very pretty and I think it's worth the price because they can last forever but maybe not in my house with kids. Also, I'm concerned about the size of the pieces for my 3 year old. The pieces are small but strong. I keep my storage bags and cling film along with essential papers and these are the best of the 3 I've tried. I gave two to a friend and that's all he needs and he was happy because they're pretty cute!
