Review on πŸ“ MLTOOLS Professional Digital Tire Gauge Air Inflator 68201: Accurate and Efficient Pressure Measurement by Adam Bates

Works well but could be better

Bought this product to replace a similar but larger Astro Pneumatic digital pressure gauge. First of all, my main problem with these two tools is that the automatic shutdown is too fast. I am a professional auto mechanic and check/correct tire pressure on every car I service. You just *can't* get around the car and use the sensor without turning it off a few times during a measurement. What a problem. It should be 2 or 3 minutes instead of 30 seconds. Second note: The instructions that come with the inflator are ridiculously bad. As another commenter said, there is no information on how to change the battery. In fact, there is no mention that the device has a battery. How to disassemble to replace the battery? What type of battery is required? You know, I wish I had a spare on hand. What you see in the manual is a perfect lab diagram showing how to position your air compressor system. Compressor, pressure regulator, automatic oilers, *refrigeration dryer* shown. Oh well. Third, the gap between the blade and the body of the device is too big to pinch your palm. I did this a few times when I first started using the remedy and it was uncomfortable. I have since learned to avoid this problem by holding the instrument differently, but the design needs to be better. I like that this tool is smaller than the Astro tool and that it doesn't have a battery powered backlight. Although it could/should be better. Anyone who uses the thing professionally will notice these shortcomings immediately.
