2003 Ford Escape: Car won't start
Fits my 2003 Ford Escape. The car had starting difficulties, but always started after a few seconds. Alternator and battery were fine. The ignition coils were changed a year ago, everything is normal. The IAC checked it fine, but I took it off to check anyway and found it was caked on the inside. Put a new one in and the car started right away. If you're having trouble starting the car and you think it might be the IAC valve, remove it (it's easy to get and only has 2 screws) and look inside. If there's a good crust of dirt in there, that could be it.
