Review on Top-notch Performance: Salomon Men's Speedcross 4 Trail Running Shoes by Ian Bates

These shoes are amazing. I've had several other brands of trail runners that I've used for hiking and they were showing wear after 35 miles. After 80 miles through the Smoky Mountains (and a few more actual miles considering the shelters are .4 miles from the trail and the water often requires a hike too), the shoe looks practically new. They're REALLY snug, but they're made on purpose to keep your foot from moving and blistering. After the third day I got a hot spot or two because my feet were constantly wet from the rain. My only real complaint is that the shoes don't dry as quickly as some of the other shoes I've had, but that's probably a function of comfort and durability, and that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.
