I'm a big K&N fan. I have them in all my cars. I've always been impressed with the quality and engineering that goes into their products and love that they're made in the USA. This is definitely a personal matter and you should decide for yourself if this is right for you. This is what I found that works for me. I like the ability to not have to change filters all the time, save money and still get good performance. They stand the test of time and have really good tolerances. This was my first air intake system. Most of the time I just buy their filters and have cars with 150,000+ miles on them and have gone through many top ups with no problems. Fill in the windows. I am satisfied with the performance of the product in these aspects. I feel like I have less revving, the idle feels smoother and it takes less effort to get where I want to go. The obvious bonus is how it sounds. Maybe some people buy them just for that reason and I agree. I think this is a worthwhile investment in a vehicle. I live in Arizona, have a dusty and dry environment and have never had problems with river crossings or too much humidity causing problems with my filters. This is something to keep in mind when deciding to use a product that is similar to the environment in which you will be using it. I had to install and uninstall this system 3-4 times to run different projects on my engine and it installed fine every time. and stayed true to its shape. If I had to complain, it would be that if I don't pay enough attention to how tightly I place the cone and go too far out of the way, I can find my cone being loose or even bouncing around the tray behind the screen. Easy to fix by checking everything, twisting everything and using good pinch points and torque when installing. The installation guide was pretty easy. Removing the old intake system was the most difficult part of the process. There is a method and trick you can use to easily remove and install it. So keep all the parts loose until you get the right order and position, then tighten everything up. section by section down. I highly recommend cleaning the throttle body and plate prior to installation as you will have exposed everything and will be cleaning the MAF sensor. When reapplying oil to the filter, follow the instructions carefully and don't overdo it. use. just the right amount of oil. Over-lubrication of the air intake causes after-flow problems and draws oil into your air systems, leading to sensor malfunctions and headaches that you won't need later.
