So I bought this for one of my cats who is 9 years old Finnigan and has always been the grumpy and bully in the family. This year we adopted a very malnourished street cat. After fixing her and slowly introducing her into our home with other cats, Finnigan decided one day that he wanted to devote his life to harassing, stalking, and terrorizing almost every second of the day. It's been like this for several months now. We slowly introduced her, but eventually he just decided, no, I hate her, and we've been dealing with this awkward behavior ever since. I'm desperately trying to get this to work so none of them get overpopulated. I've tried diffusers, calming sprays, supplemental trays, and calming water and supplements. Nothing works. A calming cat collar will appear. Doesn't matter! He calms down and shows no interest in her. He just wants to snuggle up on the couch and act like a normal cat. Now we'll never leave him unattended in his collar again. But when we put it on and find ourselves at home, what a cute obedient cat he becomes! Quiet in the valley! If you have tried almost everything, the collar is worth a try. Not sure if it will be as effective on day 30 but on days 1-4 it's a great solution for getting him to just calm the F! When he's not wearing a collar he seems to revert to his old ways, so there will certainly be some permanent behavior change in his future, but at least it gives him a break from being mean and fighting. A little pricey but the effectiveness cannot be denied. However, never rush to introduce cats. Always break them up first and let them meet you through the door, a collar is no substitute for a bad show. A collar is a good option for a cat like mine who later decides to bully and dominate.
