I bought the two meter version (2M) and then ended up with the Mikrotik CSS326-24G-2S+RM switch and that other end connected to Supermicro motherboard X10DRD - INTP and it worked! This motherboard comes with an Intel 82599ES Ethernet controller for its SFP+ ports, so that might indicate compatibility with Intel controllers (although I'm just a data point). I paid $9.99 for this thing, which is a great price for SFP+ cables at the time of writing this article. And of course it's a copper Twinax. I'm still glad I used it instead of fiber, at least for short-distance rack-to-rack communications. I don't need to be paranoid about bend radii (IIRC copper Twinax still has it, so don't bend too much, but it's forgiving) and it doesn't have the really brittle core that optical ones have. I would go for optical if I needed a long distance connection but I don't need it so all is good.
