Do you want to move the sofa yourself? Use it. Or a dresser or a dozen other heavy items that are inconvenient to use on a standard trolley. In my case, I bought two of these to move out of my house. I brought most of the stuff to a nearby warehouse myself. I've moved things like a 10-foot table, heavy dressers, and king-size beds, and someone else used a trolley at each end. When an item is placed on a cart or trolley, there are no cumbersome elevators. The wheels change direction easily and are big enough to ride on carpets and some bumps (watch out for big bumps that will stop your cart but not your heavy furniture, so be careful). The surface is ribbed rubber and things won't slide easily. I wish I had bought one of these a few years ago and saved myself the hard work of the past.
