Failed in less than a day. I didn't think something could be as bad as a Belkin USB-C Ethernet interface that failed after a week, but here it is. I strongly suspect that either Belkin's OEMs made Revain, or that Revain and Belkin use the same supplier. I've been using it Mac since late 2017. The same thing happened to this adapter as the Belkin did, it got very hot and then suddenly stopped working. I'm using a late 2017 MacBook Pro. Tried all four ports. I went into the settings and uninstalled it via the control panel to force a reinstall, but the system doesn't recognize it at all, which indicates a bug in the USB-C interface of the adapter (if you try to add it manually after plugging it in , it doesn't even show up in the list of available options). If you go to the Apple menu, select About This Mac, and then click System Report, you can get the status of all hardware and subsystems. Clicking on USB should show everything connected to the USB bus and nothing at all is shown.
