GOOD / Cheap. Easy to install/remove. Reliable adhesion. THE BAD / If the surface is flat you won't have enough stickiness to hold a new tub. CONCLUSION / At around $11, the Velox Jantex rim tape is a bargain as it comes with enough tape for 2 wheels. , in contrast to Tufo Tape or Effetto Mariposa rim tape. After driving about 2000 miles in heat, mud and rain, the tape holds up very well with reliable adhesion. Pulling the tire off was easy. Minimal residue was left which may not be ideal if you have a flat tire and need extra stickiness to keep the spare pan on the wheel. Overall I have to say that as a first time user of a tubular wheelset I'm impressed and glad I chose tape over glue.
