The flood lights work as intended. They flood.light. The key is where you put the lights. In my case I placed it into the lower fascia of my grand cherokee and it acts more as a high powered fog light. Some of the videos people presented here showing it fill dark voids with daylight don't necessarily show you the placement of the lights - hence results will vary. So if your shooting for turning darkness into daylight and killing vampires expect your lights to stick out otherwise you may want to consider an alternative like led lights for high beams. Also the lights cost me 50 bucks and the professional install cost me 350 so something to keep in mind.
