I was planning on ordering a dual core i3-2100 but due to a $60 price difference I decided to go for a quad core instead. /3000 graphics so you don't need to buy a separate graphics card. This complete retail bundle includes a basic fan cooler that simply attaches to the CPU and keeps temperatures between 38 and 55 degrees on my dual fan PC. The heatsink comes with a thermal coupler already installed, so all you have to do is insert the heatsink into the motherboard and connect the fan. His performance far exceeded all expectations. I see the 8300 on GeekBench and put this machine in the same league as the previous generation i7 processors. This CPU can be overclocked a bit from 3.1GHz to around 3.8GHz, but if you want to do that you'll probably need the i5-2500K variant, which is fully unlocked and usable up to 5+ GHz with proper cooling . I am very happy with this purchase.
