When the package arrived it was heavier than expected. Most of these laptop stands come with a nylon carrying case. They also fold up fairly easily, but if you're looking for a foldable laptop stand then this is NOT the one. Personally, I only need this at home and probably somewhere else, so I don't mind taking the assembled device anywhere, but if you're looking for something portable and fast, look elsewhere. The packaging was so heavy because all parts are delivered unassembled in a box. You need to figure out your size, decide whether or not you want to use bottom mounts, and then figure out what to do with the spares when you're done. It does what it's supposed to, which is to hold my laptop and give me space under my computer for extra workspace. But I can't fold it, it doesn't come with a carry case and you're trying to assemble this thing on your dining table.
