Easy-to-Clean Premium French Press

First of all I got the 17oz brush version. In my experience, glass presses break easily. This stainless steel model is durable and the double wall insulation keeps heat inside during brewing. I believe this was the only 17oz press I found with a matte finish. Not a fan of high gloss. I got this because the decaf at my job tastes terrible and I needed a good way to make myself coffee to fill my 16-ounce Joeveo mug. For that reason I wanted a smaller size and it was important for it to stay warm for the Joeveo's insulation magic to work. In short, I am very satisfied. I didn't notice any quality issues noted by other reviewers. Welds look clean and nice. It has a premium look. It's easy to clean. There's a bit of friction when pressing, but I suspect it's because it's stainless steel as I've only used glass presses before. I use hot water from a coffee maker at work and the press keeps it hot enough while brewing. I can't guarantee it will stay hot long afterwards as I have no interest in keeping it thick there. I haven't noticed any coffee grounds yet, and I don't even use coarse grounds like you should with presses. I'm still experimenting with different types of coffee, but this is already a lot better than the decaffeinated filter coffee they give at work. It is worth noting that I drink black coffee so as not to add calories to it. The quality of the coffee and the brew is more important when it is drunk black, otherwise it becomes sharp and bitter. One thing to note: do not pour coffee under the neck of the spout. Otherwise, the brewing liquid will splash when you put the lid on. This can also cause some bases to appear around the filter. I have found that there is not enough coffee to completely fill my 16 ounce Joeveo mug even though it says 17 ounces. I think it's either 17 oz, counting some unused volume, or the Joeveo mug is just over 16 oz. Anyway it almost fills it and I like the small size so I'm happy with it. I don't think I need the 23 ounce or 36 ounce options for this particular application.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
