Review on πŸ₯Ά Whynter BBR-801BG Built-in Black Glass Beverage Refrigerator - 80-Can Capacity, 3.4 cu ft - One Size by Dave White

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nice design, drinks getting cold, noisy compressor, door slam issues

Fits great in place of a 15" main cabinet. Using what I like to call a "real compressor", it keeps drinks colder with less temperature fluctuation than the Danby cooler I also have. It runs noticeably louder than the 10-cubic-foot refrigerator it's standing next to in the photo. I had a very hard time flipping the door because the parts you had to move were bolted on tighter than any jig I've ever dealt with designed for such a modification; For this reason I was about to send it back and otherwise would have given 4 stars. I demote the stars to 2 because I keep finding the door is open; The magnetic pad is so weak that even when exposed to light, the door "jumps back" when closed. I tried the same with my Danby and Magnet. d The door also closes with a lot of force. If it wasn't too late to return this device I would have. UPDATE MARCH 2019: After another month of use I'm still trying to love this cooler. Reorienting the unit by adjusting the legs so the front is slightly higher than the back has previously seemed to tilt the door to close. . To help anyone else who might want to flip the door, it was suggested that heating the tightened screws before removing them might help. Given these workarounds, I'm restoring my original 3-star rating.
