Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great system, clear video, easy to use and set up.

I bought this Annke Vision 5 megapixel video surveillance system with four Revain 5 megapixel wired security cameras for my home surveillance system. The cameras are equipped with PIR sensors and backlight. 8-channel video recorder with 2 TB hard drive. So I got the "full package". Having purchased several other brand cameras with mixed results, I was very excited about this new product. I've had other cameras for a few years, but most of them didn't have this high image quality. I was particularly fascinated by the 5MP resolution and H.265+. Often the resolution was poor and almost useless at night. In this system, Annke H.265+ is the next generation of video compression with lower loss and smaller file size. According to the specifications, the system can store 196 days of high quality video by recording 4 cameras simultaneously and continuously with a pre-installed 2TB hard drive. That's up to 7x more than H.264, so you don't need to buy an extra hard drive. Essentially, great video and more free hard drive space mean more recording time. When I opened the Annke box, the first thing that struck me was the careful packaging. Everything was there and easy to find. The guide is simple but easy to follow. If you need more help, visit the Anneke website. I connected the system to the stand for testing. The DVR immediately found 4 cameras and they were displayed on my monitor. I went through the setup process to set up a security password and name the cameras. I downloaded the Apple app for my iPad and the Android phone app and it was easy to set up there too. My iPad rendered a beautiful high resolution image with vibrant colors. When I turned off the light in the store, it switched to night mode and the image stayed clear! It also had a very wide field of view, more than my other cameras. Although I haven't tried it yet, compatible IP (network) cameras from other manufacturers can be added. Some of my previous cameras support ONVIF and I look forward to adding them to the Annke system. Cameras in CVI/AHD/CVBS format are also supported, providing a very flexible surveillance network. The next day I was ready to install it on my house (self installation template included) to see my house and yard. This camera's lens is huge, and you photographers know that translates well to aperture and sharpness. I ran the included 60 foot cable. The very thin cable carries both the video signal and 12 volt DC power. Because the cable was thin and flexible, it was easy to hide and secure. Extension cables are available to increase the distance to the DVR if required. It installed within a few days and I have a few observations. The LEDs on the cameras are brighter than anything I've seen before. At night, they effectively illuminate a wide strip. Individual cameras can be configured to record continuously or only record when activity is triggered. When we live on the West Coast ("Wet"), we see a lot of rain. Some of my previous cameras had problems with the onset of rain. Of course, this fills up the hard disk space very quickly with unnecessary videos. The camera's built-in sensitive passive infrared (PIR) sensor precisely detects the movement of people and animals. This promises to save you from annoying false positives caused by non-security related activities. Once PIR detection activates the alert, the white light turns on instantly to capture clear images and deter intruders. If you want to receive notifications, the system can send an email when a trigger occurs. I only want to record when there is activity and this system is the best I've seen for that. Of course, sensitivity can be adjusted, as can brightness, contrast, and color levels. image.Annke offers a wide variety of models and styles, all of which you can see on her website. I'm eyeing the Annke 1080P Floodlight Camera Wireless IP Camera to provide security in a dark corner of my property. A family member works as a forensic video analyst for the police, processing crime scene videos. He sees videos from all makes and models of cameras, some so bad they're useless. He was impressed by the results of the Anneke system. There are several ways to monitor cameras. The software (Windows) and apps (Android and iOS) are convenient and easy to use. You can also access the system using the IP address of the DVR (e.g. 192.168.1.xxx) and view cameras in your network browser. DNS and other protocols are supported. I particularly like the application that Annke offers for Windows. I can use the time slider to quickly view several hours of video or view cameras in 1x, slow motion, or 16x zoom. Easily mark points of interest on the timeline or export specific clips or time sequences from a DVR. The system delivers excellent results with razor-sharp images and videos. Annke, I'm a new fan. Seems you have a successful product line! What I liked: β€’ Image quality β€’ Wide viewing angle β€’ Easy setup (motion detection, password) β€’ Good night vision range and clarity β€’ IR detection triggered β€’ Surveillance software To improve: β€’ The device installation method involves removing the camera from the mount and locking it in reverse . This can be improved.
