Works exactly as advertised, my I7 7700K ran up to 100C and slowed down a little at stock speed. Looking back, I definitely got a bad application from the factory. I used that and after about 5 minutes I applied some Liquid Metal and now my temperatures rarely reach 80C under the same load at higher speeds. This was my first time sharing a CPU but it's very basic . A few tutorials on YouTube, this tool, a hard plastic card I used with an old credit card (to scrape off the old silicone), some nail polish to keep liquid metal from getting on conductive objects under IHS, and a high temp gasket maker reseal things. If I can, I know you can. My only complaint is that I no longer have processors to use this. Rschunimagu
