Sorry Brown, that sucks! Yes, I read other reviews. And most one star complaints are true. I've had different experiences with Braun products than their neat and compact shavers years ago, but this Braun isn't like that. So let's continue. I make about 12-14 cups of coffee a day. This is for a family of three. We are avid coffee drinkers. My method is the Melita drip filter. I use honey. roasted beans with a moderate oil base. I've been doing this for 25 years. My Capresso broke after years of good service and that's when I decided to give this company a try. The price wasn't that much of an incentive, but I liked the look of this device. It's a shame I didn't read the reviews carefully. should have done it That's a setup, now a product overview. This product costs less than a Capresso Burr Mill and there are clear differences. Yes, it's a burr grinder, but that's where it stops. On the highest level, my ground coffee looks the same as on the lowest level - and this is a real problem when pouring, the filter keeps clogging from grinding too fine. If I were to make espresso or Turkish coffee like one of the 4 star reviewers does - well that's all well and good, but it's not. So the bandwidth stinks when grinding. Next, as others have pointed out, take a sponge or brush or other particle collector because you will need it, this grinder is dirty, the electrical charge generated by the plastic needs to be swept and cleaned every time, the picture is included, that's a few more minutes of work every morning. Also, the coffee gets stuck in clumps on the nose of the grinder, so a few loud bangs from the side and full nudges of the coffee grinder onto the counter's surface, and the machine will dislodge the rest of the static coffee. There's nothing quite like waking up in the morning and dealing with a crappy form factor and thoughtless material design. Who approved this gadget is not a coffee maker, but an industrial designer with no connection to reality. Well done Brown, you made another throwaway scrap for my local landfill. The first and last item I will buy from you.
