Review on HEATIT HISD 6 Feet Heating Thermostat by Jamal Gignilliat

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works on pipes, fittings and accessories

I installed a drain in my garage that is insulated but not heated. I used heating cable to protect the water lines and faucet base. The cable is a bit stiff and difficult to work with when cold. It is best to install it in warm weather. Soaking in hot water can make it easier to bend when applying. I also added a layer of fiberglass insulation to wrap the water line around the pipe and cord just for extra storage. During a recent severe cold snap (we're in New England), the cord power turned on automatically when the temperature around the sink dropped to about 40F.
