Like 4/15/17 UPDATE

A YEAR LATER THE SOUTH FLORIDA SUN IS PERFECT! Didn't buy it here because Prime wasn't on sale and found a better deal on ebay. However, if, like me, you've been dreading the job of replacing the "white" rubber roof on your (2000) bus, this is your lucky day! I researched all sorts of products and almost settled on a $500 5 gallon product and all sorts of prep work and maybe a primer, not to mention the 7 day dry time. Impressive! I've been putting it off for two years, only now I have a lot of black spots on the roof and the interior gets noticeably hot, making the air conditioning work overtime in the Florida sun. So I bought this stuff and just followed the instructions. Bought powdered laundry detergent and hopped onto the roof with a 5 gallon bucket, a garden hose, a car wash brush and a hand dish brush and drove into town to get rid of as much limescale as possible, including small round dark spots of mold? They rubbed off. When I was done (about 2 hours) I had a half black and half white roof. The next day I rolled on HENGS, not much different than outdoor latex house paint, maybe a little thicker. I used the brush on the edges and around skylights, vents, and air conditioners. It was a warm, sunny day and I was able to touch up my skin a bit (barefoot) in about 2 hours. Now it was cool barefoot on the roof, and before it was impossible to be barefoot there, so hot! So, I have 1 3/4 gallons ready. I'll buy another gallon and put on 1 1/4 gallons to cover up some weak spots, but I'm very impressed with what 1 3/4 gallons did on a nearly black 38 foot roof! It was a week of basking in the sun and I was going barefoot and all again. no bubbles, nothing dangling, it looks great. Very impressed so far. So much so that I've taken the time to write this review, hopefully to reassure someone else who's contemplating what you think is going to be a tall order. It was very easy and I'm guessing my next coat will take around 45 minutes. Total time (approx) 2 hours prep and 1 1/2 hours actual rolling/painting.
