Review on Technika Quick Release Martingale Dog Collar by Canine Equipment by Amanda Lemons

I have a 28 pound Beagle/Border Collie mix with a deceptively thin 10 inch neck. I am having a really hard time finding a collar that is the right length yet wide enough to be effective which will end up being a stranglehold on my little bundle of muscle and energy with no leash manners! I was VERY happy to find a 3/4 our size (her requirement) that also had a quick release buckle and an extra D-ring for tags (my requirements). The collar works well, the size is perfect for the bit of "Chain noise" that helps signal corrective behavior to the dog. After a recent mud ride and subsequent bath, I put the collar back on when her coat was still a bit damp and the chain left a gray stain. on the white neck fur, causing the stainless steel to tarnish. Keep this dog away from water and dirt, I have to keep in mind that I only use it for training and will otherwise remove it. All in all a good, solid construction, except for the tarnished chain.
