My keyless fob's outer casing had small cracks that allowed dust and water to get in and the images were worn from the buttons. I found a complete key fob replacement that I had to go to a GM dealership and pay to have it programmed for my car. Since the circuit board inside the old key fob was still fine, I just replaced the buttons and outer case, leaving the old circuit board inside. Works great except for the fact that after a few weeks the marks are almost gone. So, in some you win and in others you draw.
