Assembly: - To make the playpen you will need to unscrew the pins and replace with others (supplied in an extra/wall mounted pack). We had to use the owner's manual to find out. When we saw the instructions it turned out to be pretty easy. The hinges on the doors run in opposite directions (and cannot be adjusted) which limits the different mounting options of the playpen. We chose a rectangular shape to fit the wall (we didn't want to install the equipment since we rented it). Our baby is 6 months old so not old enough to stand or walk and play around with doors or a door. Grid (so can't preview yet). I love that you can lengthen or shorten part of the gate. It was a little painful to open it all the way (had to actually pull up and down). I like that there is a valve that closes the lock for the extension. Update: Our little one is now 13 months old and is squeezing and loosening the mesh but so far there are no rips or tears. He also desperately presses on the gate. They move out even after being locked upstairs. I just slide them back and tighten them again. Be careful when merging gates. Don't press too hard (make sure everything lines up first) or you'll snap off in the plastic. Hubby used too much force, thinking that was the problem. The problem was that the pins were misaligned.
