Large Short Term Litter Box

I found some abandoned kittens in a plastic bag on the side of the road and used them as a temporary litter box before giving them to our public shelter. These are not permanent trays but are a cheaper option when a temporary tray is needed for a week or two. This is probably the best option if you are traveling with your cat or working in a cat shelter. I assume you will insist on using them with little kittens/cats after six or seven weeks as they are durable enough to last that long. Of course, this assumes that you arrive by car. If you travel by plane my local animal shelter actually gives their foster parents foil baking pans that are good for a few days and very small + cheap, usually $1. either at Walmart or Target. If you intend to live with your cats in the same house, or at least in the same area, for many years, I recommend investing in a litter robot that removes waste so efficiently that your savings will easily pay off in less than a year.
