The hermit crab loves it! Mine has no holes or plating.

Long searched. No experience with clams. When I received them they looked beautiful, they were different sizes but they seemed small and very heavy! So I wasn't sure if my Germi would like them. Well, I cooked 2 of the largest clams, put them in the tank, and the same evening the germ turned into a new clam! I think he really likes that the shell is thicker and heavier than his previous shell. It is very durable and offers better protection. The previous one was from a pet store, probably some kind of snail shell, and quite thin.
