This is exactly what I need to power and run my 5.25" Blu-Ray burner for use with my laptop. This burner used to be in a desktop PC, but I sold it and took out the drive because I knew I wanted to use it. My last SATA to USB adapter I used died (I bought it cheap at a thrift store) and wasn't putting out enough power to drive. For those wondering if this kit packs enough power for a 5.25-inch desktop Blu-ray burner, it absolutely works. As a test, I copied 4 Blu-rays to my media server set-top box and then burned a few Blu-rays. Has worked flawlessly. I also like how you get SATA AND IDE data AND power connections. Great for PC professionals like me who are always helping friends and family solve their computer problems.
