I've had this since 2013 (6 years). It just blew its first internal fuse. The fuse is in the cigarette lighter plug. DO NOT disassemble the plastic part to replace the fuse! If you do this you will end up with a complex jumble of parts. Simply rotate the silver circle at the top to remove and replace the old fuse. I also replaced the spring with an old grip spring (SEE BELOW!) It works fine now. The advantage of this compressor is that you don't have to look for an extension cord. The bad news is that car fuses blow when the car engine is not running. After you've done this a few times, remember to never attempt this without the engine running. I use it for car and bike tires and it works well. I always use a separate pressure gauge before and after filling with air. UPDATE - DON'T DO WHAT I DID! This fix worked only briefly. He overheated and melted. The fuse didn't blow this time, but now my cigarette lighter isn't working and needs to be replaced, which I'm sure will cost a lot more than the $50 I paid for it.
